Falco Mark IV Reed – Low-Level Photo Hide with 3 Fixed Snoots

The Falco Mark IV Reed is a compact, one-person low-level photo hide in reed camouflage for ground-level bird and wildlife photography. It has three photo windows, each with a fixed snoot, and sets up and folds down in seconds – so you can shoot at eye level with your subject from three sides while blending into reedbeds and waterside vegetation.

Key benefits

• Reed camouflage that blends into reedbeds, marshes and waterside vegetation.
• Three fixed snoots: a lens cover at every photo window – no separate snoots to buy.
• Extreme low level shooting from three sides (front, left, right).
• Weatherproof: front canopy, watertight zips and a fixed groundsheet with a 2,500 mm hydrostatic head.
• Fast, strong build with three fibreglass half-hoops; no Velcro, so no noise.

Made for low-level work

Use a ground pod, which fits entirely inside the hide, or a small tripod with one leg through the lockable front zip. A compact ball head such as our Flex Shooter keeps your lens stable without touching the fabric when you pan. The small footprint makes the hide easy to place inconspicuously among reeds or waterside grasses.

In the field

The reed camouflage is made for the water's edge: waders and shorebirds on mudflats, waterfowl at the margins of lakes and ponds, and reedbed specialists like bitterns and bearded reedlings all come alive when the camera sits at their eye level. Lie prone at the reed edge, choose your angle from three fixed snoots, and stay dry and hidden on wet ground.
