The Buteo Mark III Snow is a waterproof, one-person pop-up photo hide in snow camouflage for winter bird and wildlife photography. Its white pattern blends into snow-covered landscapes, keeping you and your gear dry, silent and completely hidden when the temperature drops.

Built to keep you dry

An extra front canopy stops snow and rain reaching the insect net and shades your lens, the improved roof lets meltwater run off, and every window closes watertight with a two-way zip. In driving snow you can seal the outer fabric around your lens and keep shooting.

Wide photo and viewing windows

Every photo window doubles as a viewing window. The two-part insect nets overlap in the middle with an elastic band that closes neatly around your lens and can be resized with a two-way zip. Windows sit at three alternating heights on three sides for full coverage.

In the field

The snow camouflage is for the cold months, when a brown or green hide would stand out against white ground: photograph winter visitors at feeding stations, waterfowl on frozen wetlands, and mammals against fresh snow. Set the hide up ahead of time, let a light dusting settle over it, and the wide windows on three sides let you cover your subject and its surroundings without a movement.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use the snow version?
In snow and frost, when a coloured hide would stand out. For woodland choose Brown, for green foliage Green, and for reedbeds Reed.

Can I attach extra camouflage?
